Jacob got a special invite to a duck cbain this past weekend and I think if he could he woiuld just move there! He had an awesome time and I have a duck, yes an entire duck in my frezer that needs to be mounted....ewwwww

I did some major cleaning Saturday morning & then a date night with my honey Saturday night. My sister joined us for dinner. Sunday was grocery shopping (stupid on Super Bowl Sunday) and then we all watched the game. We didn't really have a pick but we cheered on NY a bit :)

It's February...my how this year is moving along! February kicks off a lot of things for us- Jacob starts back with his trap team, bass fishing team & Spring is drawing near. I love Spring and can't wait to have some pretty flowers. I guess Arkansas just skipped winter all the way around....wierd. I am back at my workouts hard & heavy and really focused on my clean eating.

Matt & Jacob hung lights for Nano and I made them this Cowboy casserole...I did taste it and it was good. After January 1st I will not even be able to taste it, I start a boot camp and am getting back to my eat clean diet!

We made some cookies and ummm they were gross, tasted much like play doh ha!

and I must mention that if Matt is at home he is in a sleeveless tshirt, he does not wear these out & about ;)

We spent Thanksgiving Day and Matt's Nano's and ofc ourse after lunch Jacob headed straight to deer camp! We all had a great day! That night I left for some Black Friday shopping with matt's family and I made it until 1:00 a.m. they were tougher than I and kept going until 6:00, this girl needed sleep :)

We got our tree up over the weekend but my house must be really dark or I need a new camera!

This past weekend we made a trip to Dallas with Matt's family for some Christmas shopping. I took only 5 pictures *gasp* but it was a great time! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory which I have never done and in addition to the outlet mall we went to Sam Moon, what I call the purse store....and it was heaven for me :)

If they had a school that was all day fishing Jacob would be one happy camper. I have been redoing his room in hunting & fishing and it is still a work in progress but here is a bit of it. He gets his deer mount Wednesday so that will be added to the walls.

Our weather has a looked a bit like this and oh how we needed it! The weekend is going to be a lot less humid and I may not know how to act. I do know I plan to clean my vehicle very good if the rain stops!

Jacob has worked with Matt some last week & this week so he can buy himself a notebook computer thingie. I guess he will be needing that for his computer app's class ;) That brings me to the subject of our laptop that was stolen almost 2 years ago by the neighbor...that guy has yet to pay me off & remains 3 months behind on restitution, our system stinks, just plain stinks!!
School starts Monday & I think we are ready, Jacob hasn't really said much and I am not believing that he is going in 10th grade.
On the exercise front I am back to every day & I am sore! But it's a must!!

I found these on another website and they are from the State tournament back in May. He has grown since then.....my lil' angler. With that being said Jacob has made a decision to come out of football and devote all of his time to trap, fishing & hunting.

I was speaking with one of the Moms and she informed me that Jacob's boat captain wanted to speak to me, mind you that I have never met this person. Come suppport Hunter Hess, Jordan Davis, Cody Gray, Sawyer Boone, Blake Boone, Jacob Ballew, Jared House, Josh Tingle, Christian Threlkeld, and Blake Bailey at the 2011 TBF HS World Bass Fishing Tournament July 21st-23rd at Lake Dardnelle! Weigh-ins are at 2:30PM on the 21st-22nd! Final Cut Weigh in is at 3PM on Saturday!

Bethel University once again has four-year scholarship offers for both anglers on the 2011 High School Fishing World Finals Championship Team!
Ponca City, Okla. (June 14, 2011) – The Bass Federation announced today the 2011 High School Fishing World Finals will return to Russellville, Ark., on Lake Dardanelle, July 20-23, 2011. Bethel University will once again offer four-year scholarships to both anglers on the High School Fishing World Finals championship team. Last year’s inaugural event saw anglers from 17 U.S. States and this year the field is expected to grow substantially. TBF’s Student Angler Federation (SAF) and the rapidly expanding High School Fishing State Championships, which TBF and FLW Outdoors are holding in every state in 2011, are supporting this pinnacle event. All SAF affiliated high school fishing club teams are eligible to register. Tournament waters go off-limits for pre-practice to all competitors at 11:59pm Sunday night July 10 until the first official practice day Sunday, July 17. There’s plenty of time to sign up a new high school club or team; any team can sign up online without a late fee at highschoolfishing.org until online registration closes July 17. Thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes are up for grabs, all with NO entry fee! Teams can sign up after that on site at the event with a $25.00 per angler late fee but advance registration is highly encouraged. Official rules and full details can be found at highschoolfishing.org
Russellville, Arkansas Tourism, Dardanelle State Park, and Arkansas Fish and Game rolled out the red carpet last year and have been preparing for this year’s event ever since. “Russellville is proud to be the host sponsor of the TBF High School Fishing World Finals for the second year,” Director of Tourism for Russellville, Christie Graham, stated.
Bethel University, in McKenzie, Tenn., near the shores of the famous Kentucky Barkley Lake stepped forward in a huge way. They’re offering a $4,000/year scholarship, renewable all four years to BOTH world championship team anglers for the second year! That’s a $32,000 package just to start! These anglers would get a top level education, as well as, spots on the Bethel University Collegiate Bass Fishing Team. In addition, the HSFWF Champions will earn spots in the 2012 BoatUS/ACA Collegiate National Championship to compete against college fishing’s elite with use of a custom wrapped Ranger boat all week.
The High School Fishing World Finals is one of the most unique fishing tournaments in the country. It combines not only tournament fishing but also fishing education as each angler is required to pass a written test on angler ethics, boater safety and invasive species. The results add bonus ounces, which can impact the final outcome.
“Last year’s inaugural event was awesome, beyond our expectations,” TBF President, Robert Cartlidge, said. “Our team is excited and prepared to handle as many teams that wish to come to Russellville. We also have a new and exciting wrinkle to this year’s event as we’ll host a consolation tournament for those who don’t make the top 7; another unique first unlike anything the industry’s ever seen. I don't ever have a whole lot of time to talk and wanted to do just that for a change...
Things are great around our place. Matt has become a part of us and we sure do love him.
Jacob is still practicing football each morning at 6 a.m. and it is wearing him out!
He has a week long break next week because he will be gone for the week fishing a National tournament on Lake Dardanelle, he is really looking forward to it. I hope these boys bring in some big fish! And oh how I wish I could spend the week with them taking pics :)
I plan to get him packed this weekend and spend lots of time at Nano's pool!!
We hope to plan a couples trip to float the Spring River in August and then it will be back to school time and we hope to make a trip to Branson to the outlet mall for school clothes shopping.
Summer has been fab so far however it has been hot hot hot!

our minds are already at the beach and we just can't wait! beaching, swimming, dining, shopping (outlet malls yaaaay) & parasailing! After we return we have a fun concert to see & hopefully meet Blake Shelton, Jacob has a week long fishing tournament in Russellville and before you know it school will start back up, gosh time flies.
Things have been crazy with others trying to break my stride but you know, its just not gonna work! People will break you down but ONLY if you let them. I must say that it's time for me to get back to more blogging, I used to write a lot on here and I plan to start more. As I said it's my diary of sorts :)

mind you with a 14 year old boy behind the camera....I think he did pretty well, until my camera bit the dust!

and the hat, well I have no clue where it came from and it did not come home with him but I laugh so hard because it is not a "Jacob" look ;)

He had a great time and I am so grateful he was able to go. They fed the homeless, met homeless teenagers, worked at a clinic. It was definitely a learning experience for him!

we took a drive to Wye Mountain...the drive was beautiful however we got there to find out that the daffodils had already bloomed and were gone. we took a nice walk & enjoyed the sunshine~

not much time to blog and so much to tell but I must share that one of Jacob's friends since kindergarten was ran over walking home from school by another mother. yes she did it on purpose for revenge. she struck him from behind and he is so lucky to be alive. we went to visit him last night and I am just at a loss for words. the crazy woman had stolen his mom's credit card 2 years back & was prosecuted...she was back for revenge and going to get her child. now people this is SICK!!!

Jacob heads out to Memphis tonight & on the plane to New York in the morning...Momma is a nervous wreck!

Tomorrow is Jacob's 1st trap tournament, I am excited!
He leaves for his mission trip to New York next week and I am oh so nervous!
But all else is good just so so busy!!!
