In trying to stick with my WBW summer theme I bring you paaarTAY pics from Lake Catherine in 1998. And well yes that may just be a flourescent yellow swim suit with matching swim shorts. I had a blast this weekend but the "boyfriend" acted a little nutso...lol. And why do I have my tongue out in all the pics??
Did I mention it was a huge party??
p.s. I still have that horrid swimsuit in a box somewhere...Yesterday evening I got a call from Leah to sub in her bunco group, and um be here in 20 minutes so I was looking real spiffy and my hair is screaming for my hair dresser...she is in Florida and I can't see her until the 11th. Patience is a virtue :)
It is a running joke with my bunco group that I am the ONLY one that has never ever bunco'd. Guess what, I have now and twice at that. YAY!!
Sunday I cooked mexican chicken for J.T. & Megan, a late birthday dinner for J.T. Ashley came and made a heath bar cake and we all had a nice visit.
Saturday Jacob went to a gun show with Brett and this was his purchase....
YES that says TEN thousand and my back yard looks a little orange speckled..ha!
While Jacob was off playing I did some swimming and had great visit!
I don't know a whole lot but I do know it's hot!!
Took Jacob one of his poles last night and he seems to be having a great time. I am certain he needs to come home this evening and get some sleep. They like to stay up very late!
Then I headed over for a visit with Denise, it has been a while and it was great to catch up. Baby Hayden was sleeping so I did not bother him.

and then it was my turn to drive but the fuel was low :(Jacob had dinner and a movie with his big last night and came home to these guys waiting on him, yes that is the cousins minus Andrew. They headed out to the country for some play time.
As you can see he has a shirt on and the burn is much better, the picture below really made it look a lot worse.
Michele was in Arkansas for an interview and I am crossing my fingers.

Bailey came and stayed with us Friday night and I enjoyed his company. Jacob tried but just wasn't up for us so we watched movies. I watched Bride Wars and thought it was pretty cute!TGIF, well it is for me!! I have been slow at blogging lately but will do better next week. When I post pageant pics on WBW it is because I have them already scanned and failed to find something else, not trying to push them on you...lol. Maybe I am in a slump?? or just moving slow??
Jacob is at my sisters and has been fishing, swimming, and hanging out with Bailey. They are coming back to my house tonight to spend some time.

Saturday night was spent with friends new and old. 1st it was off to the Rev Room to hear Four On The Floor~
Then it was off to E.C. to meet up with these girls. A very late night, don't I look tired...lol
The boys made it back and Jacob had a blast!! A picture when they returned...
I failed to send a camera with Jacob but turns out his counselor Mike is a friend of mine so I got pics afterall :)
They slept in what they call the bat cave and this is the spot where Jacob slept. Neato!
So my phone rings this morning, it shows up as Matt which is Jacob's friend that he is at camp with. I got a little excited, I answer, I hear Matt's voice......
Matt: "um hey did you call?"
Me: "I did the other night to see how things were"
Matt: "well we are about to eat breakfast and my phone doesn't get good service, so we will talk to ya later"
me as he hangs up "well tell Jacob"
click and he was gone...I think they are growing up and this is a sign~silly boys!!!

Yours truely in 1998 (I think). This was at a NYE party at Kelli & Danny's. We did a little boot scootin' boogie after midnight and had a blast!!
I have been slacking on the blog this week, I feel overwhelmed and so busy and really can't figure out what I am doing to be so busy...lolWeekend was good. Jacob had a great time on his fishing trip, he caught lots of fish and even brought some home for me to cook. We baked it because I don't know how to fry it, I don't really fry food.

Jacob got his yearbook (Memory Book as they call it) today and I checked him and a friend out an noon. These are Jacob's ads~
And guess who is chair for next year's yearbook committee....yours truely :) this will be fun! Marsha will be my co-chair.

This is (was) my phone, yes held together with tape. It was a hand me down and I loved it! I am trying to avoid extending my contract with my carrier and am looking into some new carriers. But a friend gave me a phone on Sunday that is much nicer, and no tape :)
I am thinking he thought I should be a little ashamed of myself...lol
Sunday is the photo shoot with Shannon Treadway. YAY! I thas only been rained out oh 10 times.
I am leaning towards the female roomie. She will need to move in July 1.
I still have much to think about but it is a sign that she showed up at my door hours after the other one moved and I would like to have a roomie for about 1 more year.
WBW don't forget! I gotta come up with something good...

Jacob completes his first year of Junior High (7th grade) Thursday. He leaves for church camp the following week and has a busy summer scheduled.

The weekend was nice, I would call it uneventful but that would not be the case. Saturday Jacob and I spent a looong time at Game Exchange, he was wheelin' and dealin'. We did some shopping, bought us a baby grill, cooked out, did some yard work and of course I could not ever get this whole weed eater thing to work out *sigh* that stuff is NOT easy. When Jacob FINALLY got it started I had the line ripped out by the fence in minutes. *note to self, pay someone to do this stuff :)
As you see below Jamie and I joined my Gadwall's girls at Fox and had a great time.
Roomie moved to his ex girlfriends yesterday, he called within 4 hours to say he had made a mistake. I was busy and could not talk, wonder if he will call back? 2 hours after his leaving a friend of his showed up to ask if I was looking for another roomie. I am not sure if I am and just need to ponder the thought....
